Golf in the Garden Route: Our Holiday houses are the ideal position from where to enjoy a week of golfing. Plettenberg Bay golf course is adjacent to Brackenridge Nature Estate. Between the three houses there we can cater for small or larger groups. Many other world class golf courses such as Goose Valley, Pezula or Fancourt are within easy reach.

crags wine tourCRAGS WINE TASTING & WILDLIFE TOUR

This day tour combines the best wine estates and vineyards in the Crags with a special visit to the Mill at the Old Cape Mohair Factory and the Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre. By late morning you will visit the Bramon, Newstead and Redford Lane wine estates, where you will enjoy a delicious gourmet lunch at either the Bramon or Newstead wine estates.

Circles in the forestCIRCLES IN THE FOREST TRAIL

Explore the rich history and ecological wonders of the Diepwalle Forests along the magical Garden Route on foot during a two to three hour walking trail guided by Meagan Vermaas. The trail will take you deep into the indigenous forests of Knysna, giving you local insight into Dalene Mathee and the history of the forest - from the woodcutters and the gold miners to the flora, fauna and forest lore. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at the beautiful Jubilee Creek at the end of the morning.

Experience some of the oceans largest and most mysterious inhabitants in their natural environment. Canoeing

KEURBOOMS GORGE CANOEING TRAIL

Experience a canoeing adventure with a professional guide along the Keurbooms Gorge This full morning river canoeing trail combines the best of canoeing with the local knowledge of the surrounding vegetation, birdlife, marine environment and regional history. A picnic lunch will be served on completion of the river trail. The birding in this area is prolific so keep an eye out for the African Black Oystercatcher and many other endemics, migratory and pelagic. The Keurbooms Gorge has awe-inspiring appeal with many small and secluded beaches amidst the towering gorge dense with vegetation.

RobbergROBBERG PENINSULA and NELSONS CAVE

Enjoy a half day guided exploration of the Robberg Peninsula close to Plettenberg Bay and the paleontology of Nelson's Cave, before returning for a delicious picnic lunch around noon. The Robberg Peninsula often referred to as the "Cape Point of the Garden Route" is an ancient formation located in a Marine Protected Area and Provincial Heritage Site. This iconic rock formation dates back between 110 and 130 million years when South Africa formed part of a super continent. Humans first inhabited Robberg some 120 000 years ago, with Nelson's Cave providing some of the best fossil records found in the entire Southern Cape

Keurbooms Coastal Hiking TrailKEURBOOMS COASTAL HIKING TRAIL

This one is for the more adventurous - Children over 14 years. Terrain & Difficulty: approx. 12kms with a river crossing at high tide

A full day hiking trail exploring the area between Keurbooms and Natures Valley along a rugged coastline containing some of the most spectacular sea landscapes in Africa. All trails are led by a highly experienced eco-guide who is able to provide an in depth understanding of the marine ecology and surrounding environment. The trail includes a gourmet picnic lunch at Forest Hall.

Plettenberg Bay is a mecca for any mountain bike rider. Well marked routes will take you through the Harkerville forest. A newly built pump track for riding or trail running connects you with a route up to Harkerville. The new Cape Cross route from Plettenberg Bay to Cape Town is a must for your bucket list. Trail starts in Plettenberg Bay.

Adventure Land is a water park on a 24 hectare property, with a 75m long supertube and a 25m midi supertube for the little ones as well as a kamakazi slide and a 12m high free fall slide - not for the faint hearted.

Birds of eden2Birds of Eden

Birds of Eden is the largest free-flight aviary in the world. The sanctuary encompasses 2.3ha of partly forested land, covered by a 3.2ha mesh and criss-crossed by a 1.2km walkway. Visitors are welcome to explore at their own pace, with the use of Birds of Eden’s specialised guidebook. The sanctuary is home to over 2,000 birds of around 150 species, including louries, parrots, parakeets, waterfowl, flamingos, starlings, robins and cranes.

This is the ultimate thrill! Come and jump off the world’s highest (commercial) bungy bridge. We secure you in a full body harness and proceed to walk along a specially designed catwalk, which is suspended beneath the road surface, which will then lead you to the top of the arch – 216 meters above the ground. And then: 5,4,3,2,1… BUNGY!!
